Hello, I’m Liza Makarenko, a passionate fourth-year Computer Animation student at Ringling College of Art and Design. My obsessions would have to be animation and visual storytelling and my lovely cat Vasya (see the beauty on the left!)

For me, animation is more than just bringing characters to life it's about capturing the essence of a performance that resonates with audiences. I pour myself into every movement, every gesture, and every expression, striving to create memorable, relatable moments. Animation is, without a doubt, one of the most exciting stages of character development, where a character’s soul comes to life. As I continue my journey, my goal is to refine my craft and make my work as enjoyable to watch as it is to create.

Whether it’s the mood of a place, the emotional weight of a moment, or the subtle nuances of human expression, I find inspiration everywhere. Through my work, I aim to capture and reflect the delicate details of everyday life, constantly seeking new perspectives and ways to bring those moments to life through my art.
